Burrowing rabbits dig interconnected burrows on the ground. Young rabbits are born in caves. When they are born, they are hairless, close their eyes, can’t hear sound, and can’t move. They look like “premature babies”. It takes about 10 days to grow hair and move out of the cave. Because there are underground caves to avoid natural enemies, there is no need to run quickly, and the nostrils are relatively narrow. Rabbit is a typical point rabbit. The rabbit lives on the ground all his life and never digs underground tunnels. Young rabbits are born on the ground. When they are born, they are full of hair, open their eyes and have hearing. They will run soon after birth. Because life on the ground for life, need to run quickly to avoid natural enemies, to have enough oxygen for the body to run, so the nostrils become wider.

The rabbit was domesticated from the wild burrow rabbit of Europe. The results show that there are nine species of hares in China, all of which can’t burrow. Up to now, no wild burrowing rabbits have been found in China, and no burrowing rabbit fossils have been found, indicating that there is no burrowing rabbit in China. As far as Asia is concerned, there is no wild burrow rabbit as the ancestor of rabbit, and no fossil of burrow rabbit has been excavated. It can be concluded that all the rabbits in China were introduced from the origin.
