As the saying goes, “greedy cat” as its name implies, refers to cats. Although most cats are like this, strict lessons from childhood will improve. Persian cats are very curious about any new things, whether they eat or play, they will first look, ask, and then bite. If it’s human food, it will be wasted, not to mention, the important thing is to eat it Is it harmful to your health. So what I’m going to talk about today is about what Persian cats can’t eat.
Milk: most cats do not have lactase, can not decompose lactose, milk intake easily lead to feline laxity. But yogurt can be a small amount of feed, the original flavor. In addition, cats have special cat milk powder, or sheep milk powder is OK.
Salt: This includes anything containing salt, including inferior cat food (especially Weijia, the salt content exceeds the standard), your favorite sauce beef and salted fish jerky.
Cereals, starches: (such as rice, noodles, steamed bread, bread, potatoes, etc.) for the sake of the cat’s teeth and the reason why they can’t absorb this kind of food, please don’t feed them cereals and starches.
Animal liver: the liver contains a large amount of vitamin A, excessive intake of vitamin A can lead to muscle stiffness, neck pain, bone and joint deformation and liver disease. A small amount of intake is OK, but do not give more.
High fat food: that is, high-fat fish or fat meat, easy to lead to their lack of vitamin E, and then cause body fat inflammation, and extreme pain.
Raw fish and meat: cook them and feed them. Although in some foreign countries, cats and dogs are highly recommended to eat raw meat, but the domestic quarantine situation is not ideal, in order to prevent parasites, cats and dogs should not eat raw meat.
Dog food: cats are carnivores, while dogs are coarse food animals. The nutrients in dog food are not enough to meet the needs of cats.
Seafood: shrimp, sea crab, squid, salamander, cuttlefish, octopus, squid, sardine and horse noodle. Because this kind of food protein is not easy to digest by the cat, but also contains the toxin which causes the cat allergy. Eating large cats can cause allergies, salivation, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms. If it is a kitten, it may even cause spasm and death. In particular, sardines and horseface fish contain a strange toxin, and cats are particularly responsive to it. But this kind of food has a strong smell. Cats like it very much, and people also like it. So when we have seafood on the table, we should never feed them because the cat is begging for it. Don’t make the cat suffer because of its pet.
Bones (especially chicken and duck bones and large fish bones): This is also said a lot. Don’t think cats are so strong. Sharper bones and larger fish bones are easy to scratch their throat or esophagus, which is also the warning of pet doctors! Condiments: such as salt, monosodium glutamate, pepper, mustard, spicy oil, etc. Basically, as long as the food is processed by seasoning, it is not suitable for cats and dogs to eat. Because these condiments can affect the liver and kidney function of cats.
Food, vegetables and fruits: chocolate, coffee, tea (or food containing tea, theobromine and caffeine): all contain methylxanthine, which can cause pet poisoning. For cats and dogs, these are highly toxic.
Allium, onion: contain can destroy red blood cell ingredient, can cause cat anaemia, even can die garlic: cat is more sensitive to garlic than dog
Smoked products: it’s obvious that people can’t eat more.
Grapes and raisins: the toxicity of grapes and raisins to cats is unknown, but they are confirmed to be toxic to dogs. ASPCA animal poison control center recommends that cats or dogs should not be given any amount of grapes or raisins. This means that no matter how much your cat pleads, don’t share your milk breakfast or fruit cake with him.
