What’s the cat like before it’s tamed – why isn’t it domesticated?

Strictly speaking, according to evolutionary characteristics, the hair is not domesticated! It can only be regarded as living with human beings! Cats, for example, still retain most of their nocturnal genes. Today’s domestic cats, like their desert ancestors, need less water because they have a strong ability to concentrate urine. Cats are carnivorous animals. Their digestive system is difficult to digest and absorb the nutrients in vegetarian food. You can feed some vegetarian food to dogs, and even some dogs can eat whole vegetarian dog food. But cats can’t. They have lived with you for 10000 years, but they still can’t adapt to your eating habits. For dogs, as long as humans give food, they will not take the initiative to catch other animals. Cats, on the other hand, are very keen on killing. Not only do stray cats hunt small animals, but domestic cats’ desire to kill will not fade away because of the abundant food that humans give them – they are all cats, and cats are born. According to the statistics of relevant departments in the United States, 47% of bird deaths are caused by cats. Cats kill more than 1.3 billion birds and 6.3 billion small mammals every year. The powerful hunting behavior of cats has led to the extinction of 33 species in the world.

The reason why cats don’t kill you is that you are big. After ten thousand years of domestication, dogs have become reliable friends. Dogs can be competent for many jobs, such as guarding the house, fighting drugs and guiding blind people, and pulling on the snow. However, the only result of keeping cats for 10000 years is that there are more cats with good-looking fur. You can’t tame a cat. It’s just doing what it wants to do. In a way, felis catus does not exist.

The domestication time of cats is shorter than that of dogs. From wolf to dog, it has been domesticated for many years. From wild cat to cat, only a few generations have passed. For example, some domestic beavers have only been bred for several generations, but their aggressiveness has been greatly reduced.

Some of the offspring of domestic cats have been very docile and can be clearly distinguished from wild cats. But for all cats to be domesticated, more generations are needed.

No matter how many years will be different, because nature is not the same, it is not a matter of domestication.

The earliest domestication of cats was to use their hunting nature to catch mice. Now domestic cats and dogs are very close to their owners. Cats can’t be as coquettish as dogs. Of course, few cats like to pester people. But most cats are independent. I think that’s the charm of cats. So why don’t cats have more relatives than dogs? Because cats are not social animals_ However, dogs are gregarious animals. Individuals in social animals naturally get close to other individuals. This has already been regarded as ¨q. Besides, lions have more relatives than cats.

I always listen to my mother say that cats are treacherous officials, and dogs are loyal officials. Cats generally follow whom they eat. You can have a try, but dogs are different. Dogs raised from childhood will have a good relationship with you. Many things have proved that dogs are loyal officials. For example, in the movie “guide dog”, many owners died. Dogs have been lying around with their owners. In fact, there is one thing. It seems that police dogs are like No police cats, right?

       Personal opinion, hope to adopt:)

Cats belong to Mammalia, Carnivora and Felidae. Cats can be divided into wild cats and domestic cats. No matter what kind of domestic cats are, people have gradually domesticated and bred from wild cats for thousands of years. Similarly, if domestic cats are released to nature, they will also evolve into wild cats. Cats retain their wild habits and behavior in many places. 1. Naturally lonely, jealous cats like to live a lonely and free life. Except for estrus, they seldom live in groups and like to wander around. It doesn’t recognize a particular host, and it will settle down wherever there is better food and living environment. Cats also have jealousy. They will be jealous of their own kind and even children. Therefore, when raising cats, they should be kind and “keep a bowl of water level” and pay attention to cultivating feelings with cats. 2. Intelligent and affectionate, cats are one of the most intelligent animals. Some people think that cats can learn all the movements that dogs can do. But because the cat is stubborn, does not yield to the authority of its owner, and does not blindly obey the master’s command, if it is forced to take measures, it will be annoyed. Although the cat does not have the expression of crying and laughing, but there are movements and changes that show joy, anger, sadness and joy. When happy, the ears are raised, the beard is relaxed, the tip of the tail gently swings, and the pupil is natural. When angry, the two ears stand up and swing backward, the tip of the ear bends inward, the pupil shrinks into a slit, the beard rises to both sides, the tail beats the ground hard, the two forelimbs lie on the ground, ready to jump at any time. Ask the master to caress, eyes slightly closed, tail gently swing, walk back and forth close to the master, and make a subtle call, shaking head and tail to the master coquetry. 3. Carnivorous omnivorous cat is a carnivorous animal. Generally speaking, cats like to eat fish, meat and animal viscera, and when extremely hungry, they also eat some cereals such as rice and steamed bread. Of course, cats also have a habit problem in choosing food. Affected by their owners’ eating habits, cats will also change. Some foods (such as fruits) will not eat even if they are delicious. This may be because cats are not interested in sweetness. 4. Love cleaning cats love cleaning, often after eating, playing like to lick their own fur or lick wet paws wash face. This is in the physiological needs, the tongue licks the coat is to stimulate the secretion of sebaceous glands, so that the fur is bright and smooth, not easy to be wet by water; at the same time, it can lick a certain amount of vitamin D to promote bone growth and development; it can also make the hair fluffy, which can promote heat dissipation in hot weather; tongue licking fur can also prevent the hair from infecting parasites. A cat’s habit of burying its faeces clean after defecation. Today, it seems that although it has completely lost its original connotation, it has won the reputation of love and cleanliness for the cat. 5. Sleeping and nocturnal cats sleep about two-thirds of their lives, and cats sleep the longest of all domestic mammals. Cats don’t sleep long each time, but they sleep many times a day, which adds up to a long time. Cat is a kind of animal with high alertness. When sleeping, it can maintain the ability to respond to the environment, so as to quickly recover enough fighting strength in a very short time. Cats like leisure, relaxation and comfort very much. Like to stay in the warm place on the windowsill, or in the beloved cushion, this is an important feature of cat lifestyle. Cats still have the habit of ambushing in the daytime and coming out at night. Many activities (such as rat hunting, courtship, etc.) are often carried out at night. The cat’s various functions are more active at night than during the day. 6. Cats have strong adaptability, and cats exist in all places where human beings live. Adult cats change their hair once a year in spring, summer, autumn and winter to adapt to climate change. 7. Cat’s hunting behavior is the original cat, because without this kind of behavior, it can’t survive in the wild. When the cat hunts, it will first approach the prey quietly. When it finds the target, it will use all possible shelters to approach the target carefully. Then the cat’s abdomen clings to the ground, moves forward in a rapid sneak motion, stops briefly, and observes the prey attentively. So again and again, to reach the shelter close to the prey, quietly waiting for the attack. Then, the cat leaves the shelter, clings to the ground, and rushes forward rapidly. After entering the attack distance, it raises its front and pours on the prey, and then gives the prey a fatal bite. 8. The cat is very curious, especially the kittens. They often rush forward to the ball, or use their forefeet to fight and play with the ball. A small ball can often play for half a day. Some people think that the cat is training its hunting skills and there is no need to stop it.

Felis silvestris catus (scientific name: felis silvestris catus), usually referring to domestic cat, is a small felis, a subspecies of Felis silvestris, also known as spotted cat [1]. In addition, there are other names not recognized by the international code of animal nomenclature, such as felis catus. Humans have a record of keeping cats since ancient times, and cats were fully domesticated 5000 years ago. Ancient Egyptians raised cats to catch mice and other rodents, so as to prevent them from eating grain. Now, cats have become the most widely used pets in families all over the world, and the breeding rate is only inferior to dogs. Many people play the role of cats. The average life span is 12 years.
